Mixed martial arts (MMA) for Fitness:

Martial art is fitness with a purpose. Fitness has three components: strength, flexibility and endurance. Mixed martial arts training requires a balance between these three. While learning fun Mixed Martial Art (MMA) techniques as well as learning valuable self-defense skills and developing physical fitness and flexibility geared towards all abilities and ages.

Mixed Martial Art (MMA) Training Program:

  • Warming up, Full Body Workout, Flexibility Exercise, Weight Training and Building Stamina.
  • Stand-up/striking: Boxing, Kickboxing, Muaythai and/or forms of full contact Karate are trained to improve footwork, elbowing, kicking, kneeing, stances and punching.
  • Clinch: Freestyle Wrestling, Catch Wrestling and Judo are trained to improve clinching, take downs and throws.
  • Ground: Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Wrestling and Judo are trained to improve submission holds and defense against them and maintain ground control.
  • Gymnastics: Gymnastics are trained to improve your agility, flexibility and balance.
  • Weight Training: Weight training are trained to improve your muscle and stamina.
  • Protect yourself against types of attacks.

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ):

Techniques focus on grappling and ground fighting and will give you an understanding of how to control and manipulate a strong and aggressive opponent. Learning Jiu Jitsu basics and adding in submissions will allow you to make an opponent give up without having to throw a single punch or kick. BJJ techniques are a perfect complementary skill for virtually any martial artist with stand-up experience. Jiu Jitsu enables the martial artist to put together a complete set of skills that will help in any situation, whether it is on the feet or on the ground.

The basic technique and positions will be the foundation in which the new student learns how to move properly and figures out the finer details of the positions. The advanced moves will be built from this solid foundation, but the basics are more than enough to get an individual to an expert level.
